▶ AGE: who the hell knows, #comics... time's a little wonky, given general sliding timescale at other marvel comics, as well as the indefinite amount of time that rich spent in the cancerverse, so at current canon, taking all of this into account, i estimate his age to be anywhere between 27-31 years old
▶ OCCUPATION: former nova corps centurion, now professional expert in running himself ragged trying to keep the universe together alone 🙃
▶ PERSONALITY QUICK NOTES: simultaneously the best guy and biggest pain in the ass you'll ever meet. rich is a friendly guy who cares deeply for all beings, wants to do everything he can to help others, and takes both the values of the nova corps and his own moral code seriously. being nova, having the power to make a difference, is everything to him, and on the occasions he has lost his power, he has coped badly; long riddled by self-doubt and insecurities, rich barely values himself as a person, seeing himself as worthless if he can't be nova.
to say that rich is determined would be an understatement — i think the more accurate phrasing would be "one stubborn motherfucker". once, he tells sam alexander that as nova, "we don't get to quit," which is definitely the motto he lives by. he doesn't give up, ever, and will see whatever he starts through, even to his own detriment. because of this, and because he tends to bury and avoid his feelings rather than talk about them, he can be hard to befriend on a close level, but his heart's in the right place. finally, once a cocky banterer in battle when he was younger, rich has now acquired a more sardonic sense of humor along with a more middle-of-the-road outlook on life.
